Student of the Month

Simon Leue is one of the most determined men you will ever meet. A few years ago, Simon came to Utah  to wrestle for UVU but was told that he would first have to improve his reading skills before he could attend classes at the university. Simon found Project Read soon after and has been with the program ever since. He says that it has been encouraging to see the improvements he has made since joining the program. He says, “You have to be able to read. It is just what the world is these days, and I want to get somewhere in the world.”

Simon was raised in Hawaii. He has three brothers and three sisters who now live all over the country. Simon is a very hard worker and is constantly working at one of his two jobs, but he always makes time to come to tutoring and to do his assignments that are given to him by his tutor. He says that he doesn’t have much time to do anything else other than work, but in his free time he likes to be with his friends or watch movies.
