Dear Tutor:
It is once again time to compile the holiday memories of our tutors and students. The attached document details the procedures involved. All students and tutors are eligible to participate.
Please assist your student in completing and submitting an entry. This will give your student an opportunity to practice writing, share it with others, and potentially gain recognition for his or her work. Please read this information to your student at your next tutoring session and discuss what type of entry s/he wishes to submit.
The ideas for the work must originate with the student, but you may assist him or her with grammar, appropriate sentence sequence, spelling, etc. Thus, your student is not only learning but also submitting the best representation of her or his work. As the link above indicates, all entries must be in the Project Read office by Thursday, 29 November 2012 in order to be included in the booklet. We will distribute the booklets at the holiday party on 6 December 2012. Please utilize this opportunity to build confidence and writing skills in your student. Thank you for your help.
