Tutor of the Month
Kallie Astle joined Project Read last April when her roommate told her about the program. She has loved being a tutor. To her, there is nothing better than seeing her student become excited about learning and being successful. Some days are hard as tutor. Kallie says that her biggest challenge is finding ways to teach in a way that her student gets it. But she has found that as she looks for activities that her student likes to do, she can have meaningful and successful lessons.
Kallie grew up in Montana and came to Provo to study at BYU. She is currently a senior studying Public Health and is planning on studying nursing after graduation. She recently returned from a full-time LDS mission in Paraguay.
